Canon Powershot 1200 IS vs Nikon Coolpix S570?

Most of the excellent pictures on the camera display never comes out when printed on a glossy sheet. Which compact camera is best in image quality, for all light conditions? Is Canon’s SD1200 IS or nikon’s S570?

what to replace the Nikon D 70 with. I thinking of passing on my older D 70 to a friend.?

I’m looking at the D40 and D60. It will be used as a backup for my D200 w/18-200 VR nikon lens. My D70 has a 18-70 zoom but I noticed the D40 and the D60 kits come with the shorter 18-55 with (D60)and without VR (D40). From a economical and quality stand point which would be better suited for my use?

Keep the D70 because you won’t see that much of an improvement using the D40 or D60. You can pick up an 18-55 lens on e bay for under a hundred.
