What is Sony’s idea behind the W and T-series cameras?

Do the lower W and S numbers represent earlier models / resolution?’ As I don’t get the logic behind Sony’s numbering, I was wondering if there is available a so called “family tree” that shows the relaionship between the vaious models (like DCRP’s tree for the Canon Elph series http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/canon/powershot_sd790-review/ )
((Just as a matter of interest I recently saw some truly excellent shots straight from the camera, taken on a bike ride using am old battered shirtpocket Sony L1..))

Sony’s naming format is a bit “all over the place.” A series can denote a common design trait (ex. the slim T-series with a sliding lens cover) or a certain characteristic (ex. zoom of the H-series).

The digital screen on my canon powershot sd1000 only displays black, but I’m able to review old pictures?

When I try to take a picture it only turns out black, all I can see is black when the screen is on when I want to take a picture, but when I go to review the pictures that are already on the memory card they are fine.

No nothin is broken….

it also happens to my canon digital cam….my screen turns to black…..

just press….the disp button or display…at the side of the screen…

Search for a digital camera, some advice please?

I’m looking to buy a digital camera for taking general pictures. I also intend to take pictures of volleyball as well. I don’t want to spend a ton of money, as I am a student, and I don’t have a lot at the moment. I know the best suggestion for shooting sports photography would be to buy a camera for that purpose, but like I said, I don’t have a ton of cash.
