I am considering purchasing a new printer for our single family home (non-work related) and am curious to know which is best overall and most affordable. Am considering the Canon PIXMA MP830. Would like printer with fax and scan capabilities, in addition to home photo printing use. Please advise.

I have the HP 6310 All-In-One, with color photo printer ( excellent ), normal printing ( excellent ), copying ( excellent ) and FAX ( excellent ) and it is relatively inexpensive.

I purchased through HP, for $70.00 a 3 year next day replacement if something goes wrong and it works. I had a copy problem and the next day I had a replacement without charge and the package had a return label which paid the shipping back.

Can’t complain about that.
