Image Transfer for Mac Nikon D300 – problems?

I was lucky to be treated to a Nikon D3000 for my wonderful other half, about months. The two Macs (MacBook and MacBook Pro) with Snow Leopard. With all the other cameras I've never used, I had no trouble transferring images (even with other Nikon digital SLRs) – just plug USB, turn on the camera and zoom photos in iPhoto. However, for some strange reason D3000, simply does not mount or MacBook. I installed the Nikon software that comes with the camera, but as accidents or simply told me that I download Rosetta, is trying to download then hangs. I am totally confused and have never had this problem with a Mac before. I'm used to connect and take things into your work! Does anyone have any suggestions? I have many beautiful pictures that I want to access!

Being a PC type of love to blame their problems on the fact that 95% of the world is running Windows that are configured as chambers – which is probably not true, but I feel like a PC. The easiest way to solve this problem, apparently, is to use a card reader. Your Mac should see as a hard drive if all you need do is copy / paste. I have three digital cameras, three different styles of cards if I have three players … work all that way and it also gives me the opportunity to put my photos where I want to be instead of having the software to determine – I really like. Just connect your card into the reader, connect the association in all USB ports free and Wala!
