Is the Polaroid 5mp digital camera any good?
My grandchildren (8 and 9) each have a Polaroid digicam, one is a 5MP (i533, I think) and the other a 6MP. I got each of them on clearance for about $40. For the price, I think they do pretty good. They have a few scene modes, and in bright light produce clean, sharp images with good color and decent contrast. The higher ISO is dismal, the flash doesn’t cover much territory, and being cheap digicams, they will not take much abuse. My grands have had theirs well over a year and they are still going strong. For snapshots they are fine. Of course, simple digicams are not suited for serious photography. If you can get a good price and understand the limitations then I’d say go for it.
