best camera under 350 dollars?
Hi… I really want a new camera. Right now I have a little nikon coolpix s1 and its just not doin it for me anymore. What are some of the best cameras you have come upon less than 350 dollars that take clear, crisp pictures? And are good at taking action shots (I will be taking pictures of horses moving around, bucking etc… so it has to be pretty quick)
Less than $350 for action shots? You essentially need a used digital SLR then.
A new Nikon D40 with lens would be about $455.
The older Nikon D50 with a lens sells for $350 to $425 used.
But used Canon SLRs are a good deal. Try a used Canon 10D or Canon D60 SLR. Body only, they are about $300 and with a lens, about $350.
They will focus and take photos far faster than any point and shoot, so they are much better for action shots.
I would suggest spending the extra $100 to get a new Nikon D40 at $455 at a place like us1camera.com, because you get a warranty and all the accessories/instructions, etc. But if you can’t cough that up, a used SLR is your only real option for clear, crisp action photos.
