I need a replacement for a Nikon AF-S Nikkor DX 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 G II ED?
I was taking pictures with my Nikon D40 camera and i placed it on a shelf in my room. my brother came running into my room knocking into the cameras strap which was hanging down and the camera fell on the floor luckily only the lens broke and not the camera i need a replacement lens it can be different or the same as long as it similar to the one i need which is 18-55 mm i have searched high and low and call almost every store in Connecticut but can’t find it. the real problem is that i need to replace it by Sunday because I’m going on a family trip to Ireland. my question is where in Connecticut can i find a cameras shop that has a lens like this one in stock so i can get it by Sunday. looking for a price from 150-200 thank you so much.
My opinion, do not get the same 18-55 that you used to have.
The 18-70 is a much better lens, and it is readily available at ebay at very good price as it used to be a kit lens with the Nikon D70.
