Is there such thing as a Digital camera that is not slr, but can still have lens attatchments?

I own a Sony DSC F717 and it is not a slr camera, however i can attatch my own lenses and it does have some manual options. I am looking for a camera similar to this but with at least 8 megapixels and hopefully some fun built in features, and effects, and filters – i want a larger camera than one of those “pocket” cameras – something with some weight and options like the one i currently have just better – I am not interested in a full out slr though – any ideas?
