Corrupt digital camera? Pentax optio 50?
I have a digi cam: pentax optio 50… Haven’t used it in ages, the last time I did it seemed to have stopped working properly, when I took it’s memory card to the shop to get pics printed the memory card put some sort of virus on the shops computer which the woman quickly sorted out with some sort of software, she explained that if I had put a new memory card in and put the other back in again it would corrupt the camera? And the memory card? Anyway I want to get my camera fixed rather than buying a new one, is this possible? Also I have lost all my pics on that mem card. I don’t mind buying a new mem card though if I can get my camera fixed..
Can anyone explain this to me?
Use the software that came with the camera. I doubt it was a virus on the memory stick. Some cameras don’t give good pictures if you use generic photo suites. Copy your photos to your computer using the Photo Suite that came with the Camera ie ACDSee for Pentax.

Burn them to a CD or DVD and take the CD or DVD to the photo shop for photo processing. The main reason cameras stop working or work improperly is that people do not use the recommended batteries – AA (2) batteries (NiMH recommended)
