How do you do a time lapse video using a digital camera?
Like this one?
Good question. There are several ways.
1. Using any ordinary camera, just left it in one place and manually take a photo once in a while. The advantage of this is you can use any camera and you can take pictures at any interval, to avoid getting someting in the picture you don’t like.
2. If your camera will take pictures constantly with the shoot button held down, just use a clamp or something to hold the button down.
3. Buy a camera with a built in time lapse function. I just recently bought a Pentax Optio W10 for that reason. This is tricky because your interval (time between shots) can be limitted. With my W10 the most often it will take a shot in time lapse mode is 10 seconds. Also, this way you can find a camera that will automatically make a video file from the shots instead of a bunch of separate still image files. You might consider the Nikon Coolpix S200 but it will take pictures a minimum of half a minute apart. Consider how often you want the pictures apart then post a question asking what cameras will do it.
