How can I set up Time Exposure On A Digital Camera?
Hello, this question is thrown out to the photographers… I’ve always liked using a camera however many things I appreciate and don’t. One thing i do love about photography is something which i believe is called time exposure like the examples on this dA page;

i love the examples of traffic at night where all you can see are the lights… its truely amazing…
Can anyone help me achieve this… I was bought a camera for christmas, its a Canon IXUS 960 IS, and i bought it on amazon on this link and it shows a customer image of that shot being taken with the camera.

Hi Scott.
I agree with the other answer, but you will also need a ‘Remote Release’ as when you have the camera mounted on the tripod, holding down the shutter release with your finger for a couple of seconds, you are in danger of vibration from your finger/hand/arm ruining the picture, where a remote release will eliminate that problem.
A low ISO number. and an aperture of about f16 with a shutter release of at least 2-5 seconds, maybe longer in certain circumstances.
