HD camera won’t upload in HD?
I have a Canon digital camera that video tapes in HD. If I upload the video directly to youtube, it’s in HD. But most of the time I want to edit it in iMovie, and after I edit it and upload it…it’s no longer in HD. How can I make it so it’s in HD after I edit it on iMovie?
I don’t think iMovie will edit or export in HD. If you’re using Apple, you’ll need to get Final Cut Pro HD (versions 4.0 or higher) to edit and export in HD. I mentioned version 4.0 or higher because FCP is at version 6 and you might be able to get version 4 or 5 real cheap if you can find it. And remember to use HD tapes as well.
