Why do my digital camera batteries only work a short time? Batteries show a good charge, but camera shuts off.
Camera shuts off with a battery low message. The batteries are rechargable NiMH that have a good charge and are in great condition.

Electrical contacts in the camera and at ends of the batteries must be cleaned properly. Digital cameras are high drain devices. Batteries can have a full charge, but will be viewed by the camera as low if electrical contacts are not really good.
