battery charger nikon d80
What do I need to use my Nikon D80 Battery Charger in Europe?
I just bought a Nikon D80, and I will be going to Spain. I need a voltage converter from 220-240 (Europe) to 110-120 (USA). I have seen some out there, but they say that can be used “only with heat producing appliances rated between 500 – 1,600 watts, such as hair dryers, curling irons and coffeemakers”.
I am not sure if that can be used with the Nikon D80 battery charger.

You don’t need anything but a plug adapter. The chargers that come with virtually all digital cameras are “universal voltage”, meaning they are 100-240v compatible. Look at the label on the bottom of your charger and you will see that in the fine print. I know this for a fact, do not use a voltage converter!
