nikon d40 help with the lenses?
i have a nikon d40 and a old nikkor 70-210mm lense off a nikon n8008 and need to know if the 70-210 lense will fit and work on the nikon d40 thanks.
It work fine but it will only do manual focus, because those lens has no motor, nikon entry level camera don’t had motor build in unlike canon which they camera auto focus work nearly all the lens.
For those nikon d40, 40x, 60, 3000, 5000 is better get their new dx lens which has build rotor and sharper lens, consider the 35mm 1.8d, 55-200mm vr, 18-200mm vr.
For $400 you would get 2 nice lens the 35mm 1.8d and 55-200mm vr, both lens is really what you really need most of the time and both can auto focus.
