If those are the 2 you have to choose from, take the Nikon. The Nikon is not better because it has more mega pixels, it’s better because Nikon is a camera company. Mega pixels deal with the size of the picture and have nothing to do with quality. Anything above 5mp does not offer any real advantage unless you are printing posters. Both of those cameras would be fine for printing images on 12X16 paper.

The Nikon also comes with an SD card (saves a little money) and has some features you will find useful, that are not on the Samsung.
