Nikon D60 vs Canon XSi (450d) SOFTWARE FOR MAC?
I was wondering what camera was better in your opinion. I will get the standard one with the VR or IS 18-55 lens. Use the following criteria:
1. Image Quality
2. Features
3. Software for the mac platform (if it has it and which one is better) that comes with it
Im going to get Aperture eventually but I was wondering which was better that comes with it.
They are both excellent cameras and come with software that is compatible with PC and Mac.
You will have to actually go into a camera store and test then for your self. Which one fits in your hands the best and which it easiest for you to navigate through the cameras menu.
1) excellent image quality — after all both cameras are made by the two companies that provide DSLR’s to the pros
2) each have excellent features, but to see which ones you prefer, you will have to look to the more expensive models to see what the “next” camera you buy will have added to its features.
3) Until you can buy Aperture (actually Photoshop Elements is better because you can then learn how to use all the tools in Photoshop advanced versions for under $90)
NOTE: While it is very tempting to buy the latest and greatest entry level camera, in the end you will find the most important part of your system will be the lenses you accumulate while you build your camera system. Lenses last for decades … camera bodies are replaced every three to five years due to the advances in technology. That is why many newbies in the DSLR arena, buy new but older cameras (D40 or XTi) with two lenses. It will take a few years to learn to use those excellent cameras and in the mean time, they have two lenses to use instead of only one.
