What is the difference between a 200mm Canon S3IS 200 mm with a Canon EOS 30D?
I want to know if there is a difference in the extension of an S3IS Zoom Canon PowerShot and Canon EOS 30D.
The S3IS has a range of 36mm to 432mm film camera equivalent of 35mm. People refer to the goals of film 35 mm as a reference point. As Sze image sensor of the EOS 30D is 35 mm, to convert the point of view of 35 mm equivalent lens, you need to know the factor of culture. In the 30D crop factor is 1.6, so a 50-200mm Lens has a focal length of up to 200mm x 320mm or 1.6. To get the maximum zoom of the same EOS30D S3IS, you need a telephoto lens 432/1.6 = 270mm.
