Will this Nikon lens work on my Canon?
I have a Canon Rebel XSI and was looking to purchase a AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4G lens. Will this lens fit on my Rebel body without an adapter? How will the image quality differ if any? The Canon version of this is a little too pricey for my budget. Thank you very much.
No, it won’t. An adapter won’t help anyway.
If you can’t swing the 50mm f/1.4, do what most Canon users do, and get the 50mm f/1.8 for $100 or so. Perfectly good lens, don’t get bent out of shape over that little difference in aperture. In the real world, it doesn’t make that much difference.
