What is a good SLR for the beginning of photography?
So my cousin has Finnally have enough money to begin taking photography classes, but to take the class U need your own camera, he does not know anything about com SLR, HES im surprised even take the class, but I atleast know the basics SLR, but hes taking the class for you to learn more about photography, and we live in San Francisco, so I know he can go to take good pictures. I did some research and came up with a few cameras that appear to be adequate based on reviews, I: Canon EOS 500D and Nikon D5000 thats about it, are these two options? not now a question of price, but remember that he is a beginner, if you think it would be a great camera for a level begginner? but of professional quality? So you have to buy an external flash, too? and what programs are commonly used for photo editing? (Im advanced in Photoshop CS3 for most Adobe products are easy to me) Many thanks.
I think two of them are good, would have the Canon EOS 500D, if I had to choose between these two, however, if your cousin is completely lost, so I think that perhaps should go with a Nikon D3000 has something called the Manual mode, which will help choose the proper settings for taking pictures, it seems helpful. And yes, you should buy an external flash and Photoshop CS3, I think it's better than the CS4 CS3.
