Will a Tamron AF 70-300mm lens work on my Nikon D70 camera?
I recently got a Nikon D70 DSLR camera and would like some new lenses. I have found a deal on a Tamrom AF 70-300mm. What is this lens best used for? Will it work with my D70?
This lens is what is sometimes referred to as a super-telephoto lens. This is because of the focal length range it offers. It would be used for bird spotting, getting detail shots of buildings, spying on your neighbors, etc. I would not recommend this for sports or anything that is in motion since the lens is not “fast”. The focal length combined with smaller aperture does not allow much light in.
This lens will work with your Nikon as long as you purchase a Nikon mount lens… You might want to check to see if the computer functions will all still work
