Picture Project is not working?

I have a Nikon Coolpix S50 digital camera and I have to edit photos on the side because they are usually very dark or too bright. The only problem is the accompanying software (Photo Project 1.7), which generally allows everybody looked flushed and red … Are there any other editor with my photos that I download, maybe?
