nikon lcd camera

nikon coolpix s7c camera lcd screen partially blacked out?

i have a nikon coolpix camera that has been working fine. all of a sudden about 3/4 of the lcd screen is blacked out. there is a top layer where i can see. it is about half an inch wide of what i can see

i dont know about that model , but for my hp camera there is a button name display it turn off the screen and only show the option up , hope its the same if not , try to replug the batteries hope it work
