Nikon Cameras Do the G-series lenses work with the D-60 camera body?
I am looking at a nikkor Lens they says its a G series but i cannot find anywhere that it is compatible with my D-60
For the auto-focus to work, you’ll need to buy clearly labeled Nikon AF-S or AF-I lenses, or third party lenses with an internal focusing motor.
The Nikon D vs. G marking isn’t really relevant. D lenses have an aperture ring and G lenses don’t. This doens’t say anything about the lens’ AF capabilities on a D60 however. (There are a few D lenses that are also AF-S, eg. the 28-70mm f/2.8, and there are plenty G lenses that are not AF-S.)
If you don’t mind manual focusing, you can use any Nikon AF lens.
And if you don’t mind calculating the exposure yourself, you can use any just about any Nikon lens made since 1959.
